Dave Schlafman

Dave Schlafman is an accomplished design leader with extensive experience in the gaming and interactive media sectors. Currently serving as Director of Design for Games at Netflix since February 2017, Schlafman has progressed through various design leadership roles at the company, including Senior Design Manager for Discovery and Director of Design for Interactive Experiences. Prior to Netflix, Schlafman was the Head of Design at Jibo, Inc., overseeing the Robot Design team and establishing the robot's character development and visual language. As Co-Founder and Creative Director of CloudKid, Schlafman produced numerous digital products and original IP, achieving significant revenue and multiple Emmy Award nominations. Earlier career highlights include roles at Lunch Lab, Schlafman Studio, and Soup2Nuts Animation Studio, where Schlafman contributed to notable children's programming and branding projects. Schlafman holds a BFA in Intermedia/Multimedia from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
