Stephen Farmer

Stephen Farmer is the current General Counsel at Neuron. Prior to joining Neuron, Stephen served as the Head of Legal & Compliance and Board Secretary at Export Finance Australia from June 2012 to July 2019. In this role, they were responsible for legal, compliance, governance, and board secretarial matters, as well as project, infrastructure, corporate, and trade financing transactions in emerging markets.

Before their time at Export Finance Australia, Stephen worked as a Senior Associate at Allens from December 2007 to June 2012, where they specialized in project finance, real estate finance, corporate finance, and capital markets transactions. Stephen also has experience working as a legal consultant at Allen & Overy from July 2005 to October 2007 and as a solicitor at Dundas & Wilson in London from September 2002 to May 2005.

Stephen is a highly experienced lawyer with a wealth of knowledge in both domestic and cross-border transactions. Stephen has extensive experience working on bilateral and syndicated financings, restructuring of debt, work-outs, and refinancings.

Stephen Farmer has a GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an LLB/BA (Int Stud) from the University of Technology Sydney. Stephen went to Sydney Grammar School for high school.
