Shilpa Rao

Shilpa Rao, PhD, currently serves as an Associate Medical Science Liaison at Neuron23, where responsibilities include supporting the Phase 2 Parkinson’s disease program and engaging with key opinion leaders to enhance clinical development. Prior to this role, Shilpa held positions at the Parkinson's Foundation as Director of Strategic Operations and Associate Director of Clinical Research, managing and analyzing clinical trial data and utilizing analytical tools like R and Tableau. Shilpa's academic background includes a PhD in Molecular Medicine from Case Western Reserve University, focusing on women-specific health factors in Parkinson's disease, and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Loyola University Chicago. Early research experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Researcher and Research Technician at the Cleveland Clinic, investigating the immune system and glioblastoma.
