Steven Williams

Steven Williams is currently the Gates Foundation Professor of Biological Sciences and Biochemistry at Smith College and the University of Massachusetts. Steven also holds a position as a Professor in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Additionally, Steven serves as the Director of the New England Biolabs Molecular Biology Summer Workshops. In the past, Steven worked as a Scientific Liaison at the Neglected Tropical Diseases Support Center/Task Force for Global Health where Steven focused on research programs supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and USAID in Africa. Steven's research interests include neglected tropical diseases such as filariasis/elephantiasis, onchocerciasis/river blindness, and schistosomiasis.
