Robert Wann

Robert Wann serves as a Director of New York Community Bancorp, Inc. and its bank subsidiary, Flagstar Bank, N.A. Mr. Wann has been on the Board of Directors of the Company and the Bank since January 1, 2008. He is a member of the Risk and Technology Committees.

Previously he was Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company and New York Community Bank since October 31, 2003. He retired from that position upon the closing of the Flagstar Bancorp, Inc. acquisition. Prior to his appointment as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Wann spearheaded the Finance Division of the Company and the Bank. He joined the Company in 1982, and was named Comptroller in 1989; in 1991 he was appointed Chief Financial Officer. An original member of the management team that took the Company public in 1993, Mr. Wann played a crucial role in the development and growth of the Company.
