James House

James House currently serves as the Chief Safety Health and Wellbeing Officer at KiwiRail, a position held since December 2018, and has previously held roles such as Regional Operations Manager for the Lower North Island and Head of Regulatory. Prior to joining KiwiRail, James worked at the NZ Transport Agency as a Senior Rail Safety Officer from February 2017 to December 2018. With extensive experience at Arriva Trains Wales from September 2010 to January 2017, James managed a Train Driver depot region with responsibility for over 200 Train Drivers, led teams in various managerial capacities, and focused on operational assurance and compliance. James holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Cardiff University, completed in 2010, and has a diverse educational background that includes attendance at multiple schools.
