Samknight Owusu Awuah

Samknight Owusu Awuah is a mining engineer with extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as Mine Engineer II (Dispatch) and previously as Mining Engineer (Drill and Blast) at Newmont Corporation since December 2020. Prior to this role, Samknight worked as Explosive Magazine Manager at WILEB MINING SUPPLIES LIMITED and as a Mining Engineer at Newmont Goldcorp Corporation, focusing on surface mining from September 2018 to December 2019. Samknight began the career as a Mine Engineer intern at Chirano Gold Mines, a subsidiary of Kinross Gold, in mid-2017. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering Management from the University of Energy and Natural Resources (2021-2023) and a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology (2014-2018).
