Tracey Brooks

Tracey Brooks is an experienced professional in the field of urban planning and economic development, currently serving as the Head of Regeneration and Economic Development at Newport City Council since May 2016. In this role, Tracey leads a multi-disciplinary service area focused on planning and development services, along with strategic projects related to culture, tourism, and employment support. Prior to this position, Tracey held roles within Newport City Council as Acting Head of Regeneration, Investment & Housing, and Development & Regeneration Manager, responsible for key planning and regeneration initiatives. Starting in 2008 as East Area Planning Manager, Tracey managed a team of planners and handled complex planning applications. Tracey holds a BSc in Town Planning from Cardiff University, earned in 1996.
