Ingrid Peters

Ingrid Peters currently serves on the Rhode Island Historical Records Advisory Board since May 2023 and has been the Deputy Executive Director for Operations & Academic Services at the Newport Historical Society since 2007. In this role, Ingrid manages staff and programs, oversees collections and archives, facilitates academic services, and produces publications. Ingrid also directed educational programming for the Newport Historical Society, creating and implementing various public programs. Additionally, Ingrid is a member of the Naval War College Museum and Archives Collections Committee since 2021 and has contributed to the Historic Cemetery Advisory Commission in Newport from 2016 to November 2022. Previous experience includes roles at the International Yacht Restoration School and Rincon Archaeology, with educational credentials from Tufts University and the University of Arizona in museum studies and anthropology.
