Matt Hickey

Matt Hickey is an experienced sports media professional currently serving as the National Sport Video and Social Lead at News Corp Australia since September 2020, after having held positions as National Sports Newsroom Social Media Editor and Sport Social Media Producer. In addition to contributions at News Corp Australia, Matt is a commentator for the WNBL and has been a writer for The Pick and Roll since March 2016. Previous roles include Content Producer at Dimers.com, Content Creator/Journalist/Social Media Manager at Punters.com.au, and various commentary positions at Dandenong Basketball and Basketball Victoria. Matt's coaching experience includes a role as Coach and Development Program Coordinator at Nunawading Basketball from 2010 to 2017. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Swinburne University of Technology.
