Vincent Cozzi

COO at NexCore Group

As Chief Investment Officer / Chief Operating Officer of NexCore, Vince Cozzi is responsible for allocating capital and resources to support the company’s investment and development activities across the spectrum of healthcare real estate, including medical, life sciences and seniors housing. In addition, Vince oversees the company’s Real Estate Management, HR and IT functions, where he focuses on improving performance, building high-performing teams, and implementing processes, systems and standards to support growth.

Vince brings more than 30 years of experience in acquiring, financing, developing and operating commercial real estate, including 16 years in healthcare. Prior to joining NexCore, Vince served as President and Chief Investment Officer of an international healthcare REIT and as Senior Vice President – Acquisitions of a US healthcare REIT, where he led company strategies and investment activities. Vince’s background includes property acquisitions and dispositions, structuring joint ventures, platform investments, and public company mergers and acquisitions.

Vince is active with several associations, including the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC), and BOMA. He also serves on the Board of Advisors to the Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

In addition to his work at NexCore, Vince is passionate about education and scholarship. He is a trustee and former Chairman of the Board of the Latin School of Chicago, and is a Director and former Chairman of the Board of High Jump, an academic enrichment program for talented, low-income students in Chicago’s inner-city.

Vince received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and an M.B.A. in Finance and Business Policy from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
