Jody Barr

Jody Barr serves as the Chief Investigative Reporter for FOX Charlotte under Nexstar Media Group, Inc. since June 2021. Prior experience includes roles as an Investigative Reporter at KXAN-TV from July 2017 to June 2021, where responsibilities involved producing investigative content on government issues, with reports used by multiple Nexstar stations in Texas. Prior to that, Jody worked at FOX19 WXIX from June 2014 to July 2017, focusing on government corruption and taxpayer waste while developing sources across three states. Jody's earlier career includes serving as the Lead Investigative Reporter at WIS-TV from June 2009 to June 2014, where Jody produced long-form investigative pieces and initiated social media campaigns, and as an Investigative Reporter at WBTW News 13 from May 2006 to June 2009, breaking exclusive news stories. Jody holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Journalism and Mass Communication and Political Science from the University of South Carolina.
