M.J. Baird is an accomplished sports journalist and broadcaster with extensive experience in various media roles. Currently serving as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter for Nexstar Media Group, Inc. since November 2019, Baird has earned accolades as a two-time Texas Association of Broadcasters Small Market Sports Reporter of the Year. Additionally, Baird hosts the FREE4ALL podcast and plays a key role in social media strategy. With a long history in sports reporting, including positions as Sports Director and Executive Producer at Q30 Television and freelance reporting for Gotta Love Connecticut Hockey, Baird has demonstrated expertise in creating engaging content across multiple platforms. A certified level 4 official for USA Hockey since 2012, Baird holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Quinnipiac University and has contributed to various sports broadcasts and publications throughout a career that showcases a commitment to telling compelling sports stories.
