Hunter is a Partner focused on Business Development for Next Play Capital, helping to expand the Firm brand and reach in the Midwest and Eastern parts of the U.S.

This includes cultivating existing and building new relationships with our network of general partners, founders, and limited partners. Hunter also is a co-host of the Firm’s weekly podcast series, Next Play Perspectives. In addition, Hunter assists with investment diligence on both funds and companies.

Prior to joining Next Play Capital, Hunter led the partnerships platform at STRIVR, a venture backed AR/VR startup. He was also a Venture Partner with OCA Ventures, an early-stage venture firm in Chicago. Hunter also served as President of gaming company Overdog which was acquired by Odd Networks in 2016.

Hunter played eight seasons in the NFL for the Chicago Bears and served on the Board of the NFLPA.

Hunter graduated Summa Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University and Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern.
