Juan Arevalo

Juan Arevalo has a diverse work experience starting in 2007 as a Student Researcher in the Cellular Material Group. Juan then pursued internships at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the National Institute for Fusion Science in 2010. In 2008, they joined CIEMAT, where they worked on Fusion Energy, focusing on plasma rotation, impurity density inhomogeneities, and experimental benchmarking of neoclassical theory.

Juan transitioned into the industry and joined Amadeus IT Group in 2014 as a Data Scientist, providing business intelligence solutions for the travel industry. Juan then worked at BBVA Data & Analytics as a Senior Data Scientist from 2015 to 2019, leading projects on adaptive user experiences and customer segmentation.

In 2019, Juan joined Cepsa as a Senior Data Scientist, and in 2021, they moved on to Nextail in the same role. Additionally, they have been an Adjunct Professor at IE Business School since 2022, teaching in the Masters in Big Data program.
