Ashley Scurlock

Ashley Scurlock is a skilled data scientist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Nielsen since July 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Data Science Student Consultant at the University of Virginia, where Ashley partnered on a yearlong project with the UVA Education School’s Special Education Research Accelerator, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, contributing to a new interdisciplinary course on COVID-19. Ashley earned a Master's degree in Data Science from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Mary Washington. Additional experience includes participating and leading teams in multiple hackathons, such as the Rugby Canada Datafest, AECOM Datathon, and Indeed.com Datafest, where analytical skills were applied to various datasets.
