Paul Burdon

Paul Burdon has extensive experience in quality assurance and engineering within the automotive industry, primarily at Nissan Motor Corporation since August 2005. As the Director of Quality Assurance, responsibilities include overseeing the engineering team in the paint shops of the Sunderland Plant, contributing to the £80 million Emissions Compliant topcoat process for the new Qashqai. Previous roles encompass managing vehicle quality assurance, leading finished vehicle inspections, and driving quality engineering efforts, alongside project management for new model launches like Infiniti. Burdon's career began with a graduate engineer program at Nissan, following a mechanical engineering degree from The University of Sheffield and a placement at Outokumpu as a project engineer.
