Troels Larsen

Troels Larsen is an experienced professional in the field of energy trading and software development, currently serving as the Head of Intraday Quant Trading at Norlys Energy Trading A/S since February 2021, where management of two quantitative trading teams is undertaken. Prior experience includes leading the automated trading division at a startup energy trading company and serving as a Manager and Senior Software Developer at Centrica following the acquisition of Neas Energy. Troels has a strong background in quantitative development, asset optimization, and machine learning, with expertise in building low-latency automated trading platforms and strategies for power and gas markets. Additional experience spans roles in software development and quality assurance at AVEVA and Logimatic, as well as initial roles in business intelligence systems and customer support. Troels holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Aalborg University and a General Certificate of Secondary Education in Mathematics from Aalborg Handelsskole.
