Laura Marshall is an accomplished academic and communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and health communication. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Journalism at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Laura teaches broadcast journalism and oversees the Aggie Television Network. Previous roles include Assistant Professor at High Point University, where Laura focused on health and strategic communication, and a PhD Researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, concentrating on health communication and public relations. Laura’s early career includes leadership positions in communications at UCSF Global Health Sciences and various roles in media relations, including Senior Manager positions at Lumetra and Kaiser Permanente. Laura holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication/Media Studies and a Master’s in Interdisciplinary Health Communication from the UNC School of Media and Journalism, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Law from Bowling Green State University.
