Akhil Saraswat

Akhil Saraswat is an accomplished Emergency Medicine Physician with extensive experience in managing trauma and providing critical care. Since January 2015, Akhil has served as the Medical Director of the Trauma Emergency Department at Northeast Georgia Health System. Prior to this role, Akhil worked at Franciscan Health from January 2014 to December 2016, where critical care was provided in a resource-limited community, and held positions as an attending physician at Indiana University Health and Forsyth Medical Center from 2012 to 2014 and 2009 to 2011, respectively. Akhil completed residency training at Duke University Hospital from July 2006 to June 2009 after earning a Doctor of Medicine from Duke University School of Medicine in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology from the University of Florida in 2000.
