João L. Carapinha, Ph.D., serves as the Director at Syenza since January 2008, focusing on innovative healthcare technologies to enhance health access through HEOR and scientific services for Pharmaceutical, Medtech, and Biotech industries. Simultaneously, João is the Chief Executive Officer and Market Access Scientist at Northeastern University, where responsibilities include serving as an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Pharmacy, contributing to the institution's commitment to pharmacy education and research. Additionally, João is a member of the Editorial Board at Taylor & Francis Group for the Journal of Medical Economics, which publishes significant studies in pharmacoeconomics and healthcare research. Education includes a PhD in Law and Public Policy and a Master’s in Economic Policy and Public Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand, as well as a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the same university.
