Michael Guerra

Michael Guerra serves as the Vice President of External Affairs at Nicor Gas, a position held since December 2022. Previously, Michael was a Partner at Jenner & Block from April 2019 to December 2022 and at Rooney Rippie & Ratnaswamy LLP from January 2016 to March 2019, focusing on energy and litigation practice areas including regulatory counseling for natural gas and electric clients. Michael's earlier experience includes a role as Vice President at ComEd, overseeing external affairs and regulatory strategy, and serving as a Partner at both Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal and Hopkins and Sutter, where the focus was on representing utility and telecommunications clients. Michael began a legal career as an Administrative Law Judge at the Illinois Commerce Commission, adjudicating utility matters. Michael holds a JD from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a BBA in Public Accounting from Loyola University Chicago.
