Pablo Zamora

Co-Founder at NotCo

Pablo Zamora is the co-founder of NotCo, a food technology company based in Chile. Pablo has a background in nanotechnology and biotechnology, and has worked in both the public and private sectors in Chile and the United States.

Zamora began their career as a researcher at the Centro para el Desarrollo de la Nanociencia y la Nanotecnología (CEDENNA), a government-funded research center in Chile. Pablo then moved to the private sector, co-founding Spora Biotech, a biotech startup that developed new methods for producing biofuels.

After a few years at Spora Biotech, Zamora joined the Chile California Council, a business association that promotes trade and investment between Chile and California. In this role, they helped Chilean companies access the US market and connect with US investors.

In 2017, Zamora was recruited by UC Davis to help launch its first international center, UC Davis Chile. As the associate director of the center, they oversaw its operations and led its efforts to support the life science innovation ecosystem in Chile.

Since 2018, Zamora has been focused on their work at NotCo, where they are using their experience in the food industry to develop plant-based alternatives to traditional animal-based products.

Pablo Zamora completed their Doctorate in Biotechnology at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
