Dr Dave Gent

Dr. Dave Gent serves as the Director of Operations, UK at Engineering Consultancy Services Limited since June 2020, focusing on socially responsible engineering initiatives and supporting international development for British engineering organizations. In addition, Dr. Gent currently holds the position of Head of Conservation at Investigation and Examination Services and is a Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University where contributions are made to the education of future engineers in bridge design, assessment, and Light Rail Systems. Previous roles include Technical Director at COWI, Chief Engineer at Bridgeway Consulting Ltd, and Principal Engineer at both Atkins and Parsons Brinckerhoff, with extensive experience in civil and structural engineering across various multidisciplinary projects. Dr. Gent earned a Doctor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Nottingham Trent University in 2017 and a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the same institution in 2006.
