Sophia Max

Sophia Max is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as the General Manager of People and Culture at Nova Energy since May 2022. Prior to this role, Sophia held positions as an HR Business Partner at Transpower New Zealand from January 2021 to April 2022 and as a Senior HR Advisor at Todd Corporation from May 2013 to December 2020, where Sophia also served as an HR Advisor. Earlier in Sophia's career, HR Advisory roles were held at Capital & Coast District Health Board from December 2011 to May 2013 and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade from February 2009 to December 2011. Sophia Max holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree with a focus on Human Resources from Victoria University of Wellington, completed in 2007, following secondary education at Central High School from 1999 to 2002.
