Shay Wolfling

CTO at Nova

Shay Wolfling is the current Chief Technical Officer at Nova. Prior to this, they worked as a visiting scientist at the University of Heidelberg from February 2013 to January 2014, and as a research assistant at Academia Sinica in Taiwan from October 2009 to December 2012. They received their PhD from National Tsing Hua University in 2014.

As a visiting scientist at the University of Heidelberg, Shay Wolfling worked on building mercury drop resistance measuring equipment, improving and measuring the conductance of 3-D SurMoFs, and developing specific SAMs (BPSe, C12Se, etc.).

As a research assistant at Academia Sinica, Shay Wolfling was responsible for designing and setting up high vacuum and low temperature STM systems, measuring the structure and density of states of 2-dimensional materials, and analyzing the growth mechanics of graphene using high entropy materials as substrates.

Shay Wolfling's PhD research at National Tsing Hua University focused on developing a ultra-vacuum STM and analyzing the structure of graphene and single walled carbon nanotubes.

Shay Wolfling reports to Eitan Oppenhaim, President & CEO. Shay Wolfling works with Zohar Gil - Chief Marketing Officer, Dror David - CFO, and Effi Aboody - Corporate VP & GM, Dimensional Metrology Division.
