Svein-Egil Nielsen

Svein-Egil Nielsen is an accomplished technology executive and board member with extensive experience in the semiconductor and wireless communication industries. Currently serving as a Board Member for BeammWave and Elliptic Labs, as well as Chairman of the Board for NOVELDA, Svein-Egil was previously the Chief Technology Officer and EVP of R&D at Nordic Semiconductor ASA from January 2011 to March 2024, overseeing a team of 1,100 engineers. Additionally, Svein-Egil has held leadership positions such as Director of Emerging Technologies and Strategic Partnerships at the Bluetooth SIG and Chairman of the Board for Bluetooth SIG. Earlier career experiences include roles at Innovation Norway, Nordic Semiconductor ASA, and The Boston Consulting Group. Svein-Egil holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BEng in Computer and Electronics Systems from the University of Strathclyde.
