Alex Underwood

Alex Underwood is an experienced professional in talent acquisition and recruitment, currently serving as the Acting Talent Acquisition Partner at the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure since April 2023. In this role, Alex manages end-to-end Senior Executive Recruitment and oversees mobility for Senior Executive and Non-Executive positions. Prior to this, Alex was a Talent Acquisition Specialist at the former NSW Department of Planning & Environment and spent over a decade at Rarekind, culminating in the role of Manager – HR & Executive Recruitment and Consulting, where Alex led a team serving diverse industries across various regions. Previous experience includes roles in learning and development at the City of Newcastle and hospitality management at Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, complemented by a Certificate IV in Meeting and Event Planning from TAFE NSW.
