Raef Sully

EVP & CEO, Nitrogen & Phosphate at Nutrien

Raef Sully is Executive Vice President and CEO of Nitrogen and Phosphate at Nutrien. He was previously president of Nutrien’s Potash business unit. Prior to that, he was President, PCS Nitrogen and Phosphate, a position he assumed in 2016 after serving as president of PCS Nitrogen.

Raef originally joined PotashCorp in 2012 to oversee the company’s potash expansion program, eventually becoming Vice President, Project Management and Capital, with responsibility for managing the company’s capital program and large projects.

Raef began his career at Hyder Consulting PLC (formerly Acer Wargon Chapman) in Sydney, Australia. As an Associate Director, he was involved for almost five years in engineering design and construction management of tall buildings and large infrastructure projects. From 2001 to 2012, he worked at Bain & Company and was a Principal in their mining and resources practice.

Raef has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in civil engineering and a PhD in structural engineering from the University of Sydney.
