Local Investigations Fellow at The New York Times

Sidnee King is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in investigative and equity reporting. As a Local Investigations Fellow at The New York Times since April 2024, Sidnee builds on a solid foundation of previous roles, including Equity Reporter at the Better Government Association from December 2020 to April 2024 and Video Production Fellow at Vox Media, LLC. for a brief period in late 2020. Prior experience includes serving as an Investigative Reporting Fellow at the Medill Investigative Lab and Reporter for the Medill News Service. Sidnee's career began at Grace Covenant Church DC as Media Director, followed by internships at the National Newspaper Publishers Association, WHBC 96.3 HD3 Student Radio, The Bardwell Group, and Howard University Radio WHBC 96.3. Sidnee holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's degree from Howard University, complemented by participation in the CIEE New Media and Journalism Program in Spain.
