Sébastien Tisserand currently serves as Directeur, gouvernance and Directeur du contentieux at the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) since July 2021. From August 2017 to August 2023, Sébastien was a Professor at the École de Formation du Barreau, mentoring students in practical and professional skills related to ethics, professional responsibility, and civil law. Prior roles include Avocat in litigation focused on disciplinary law and professional responsibility at Therrien Couture Joli-Coeur, as well as Chargé de cours at UQAM, where René instructed future business entrepreneurs in the fundamentals of business law. Previous experience encompasses positions such as Avocat associé at Mercier Leduc, Avocat de la mise en application at IIROC, and various litigation roles at McMillan LLP and Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, along with an internship at the Quebec General Attorney Office. Educational qualifications include an EMBA in Financial Services from ESG UQAM, an LL.M in Business Law from Université de Montréal, and a Master’s in International and European Law from the University of Montpellier.
