Caroline Sommers

Caroline Sommers has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Caroline started their career in 2002 as a Residential Advisor at Augustana College. Caroline then worked at Erie Family Health Center as an Intern, focusing on quality improvement. In 2007, they joined NorthShore University HealthSystem, where they held various managerial roles in different divisions, such as Hematology/Oncology, Urology, and General Surgery. During their time at NorthShore, they implemented standardized processes and improved team dynamics to enhance patient care. In 2012, they briefly worked at Erie Family Health Center again, this time as an Intern in Quality Improvement. Finally, in 2015, Caroline joined Oak Street Health, where they played key leadership roles, including Vice President of Clinical Quality and Chief Compliance Officer, Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations, and Chief Clinical Operations & Learning Officer. In these positions, they led initiatives to drive operational performance, employee engagement, and patient-focused clinical programs. Overall, Caroline Sommers has demonstrated their expertise in healthcare operations and quality improvement throughout their career.

Caroline Sommers obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Augustana College in the years 2000 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Health at DePaul University from 2011 to 2013.
