Brendan Kredell

Brendan Kredell is an Associate Professor of Film and Director of Film Studies and Production at Oakland University, where employment began in 2014. Additionally, Brendan serves as a Partner at Media Urbanism, focusing on enhancing the cultural inclusivity and sustainability of urban environments through the arts and media. Prior to these roles, Brendan was an Instructor in the Department of Communication and Culture at the University of Calgary from 2011 to 2014, and worked as a Public Programmer/Researcher at the Chicago History Museum from 2004 to 2006, as well as a Teacher in the District of Columbia Public Schools from 2001 to 2003. Academic achievements include a PhD in Radio/Television/Film from Northwestern University, an AM in Humanities (Cinema and Media Studies) from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
