Cemre Balaban

Cemre Balaban is a Trade Policy Analyst at the OECD's Trade and Agriculture Directorate since September 2021, with previous experience as a Junior Trade Policy Analyst within the same division. Prior to joining OECD, Cemre served as a Policy Advisor at the State Secretariat for Migration in Switzerland and worked as a Delegate at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, representing Switzerland at the WTO and EFTA. A range of involvement in various WTO committees and UNCTAD initiatives highlights Cemre's expertise in trade policy. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Zurich, a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Econometrics from the World Trade Institute, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in EU Law from the University of Zurich. Additional experience encompasses research roles at gfs.bern, BASS, and ETH Zürich.
