Curtis Musembi

Curtis Musembi has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Investment Manager at Oikocredit since 2019. In this position, they are responsible for managing the investment cycle in East & Southern Africa, including partner pipeline building, investment analysis, due diligence, deal structuring, and portfolio monitoring for financial inclusion and agriculture projects in multiple countries.

Prior to Oikocredit, Curtis worked as a Business Analyst at the Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC) from 2016 to 2019. Here, they provided end-to-end incubation, enterprise support, investor readiness, and early-stage financing to enterprises focusing on climate-smart technologies in agriculture, renewable energy, and water management. Before their time at KCIC, Curtis worked at Unaitas from 2012 to 2016, where they held the positions of Credit Officer and Management Trainee. As a Credit Officer, they managed the portfolio and provided business advisory services to stimulate growth. Curtis also conducted business and financial analysis to measure and mitigate credit risk. Overall, Curtis has demonstrated their expertise in investment management, business analysis, and credit risk mitigation throughout their career.

Curtis Musembi has a strong educational background, with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, General from the University of Nairobi, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Prior to this, in 2018, Curtis completed a certificate program in Private equity and venture capital from Strathmore Business School (SBS). Curtis earned their Bachelor of Business Management degree with a specialization in Finance and Banking from Moi University, completing their studies from 2007 to 2011.
