Claudine Lostao

Chief Design Officer at Olive Tree Holdings

Claudine Lostao joined Olive Tree with over 33 years experience in the architectural interior design industry. She began her career working in Jamaica designing the interiors for Super Clubs and Sandals all-inclusive hotels. After moving back to the USA, Claudine led the design for several noteworthy projects including the American Airlines Miami Heat Arena, Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and Walt Disney World Resort. She has also held senior management design and business development positions in hospitality and restaurant market sectors, working with Kimpton Hotels, Sonesta Hotels, Clarion Hotels, the McCormick & Schmick’s Restaurant Consortium and Boathouse Restaurants.

Most recently Claudine worked at Marriott International’s Global Brand Strategies for Sheraton, focused on building owner and operator relationships as a trusted advisor and driving the execution of select high-impact and high-investment hotels. For over six years, Claudine also served in senior leadership roles at Starbucks Coffee Company where she led the design studios encompassing design oversight for over 4,000 stores across North America. Claudine also served in a leadership role at & pizza company based in Washington, D.C. where she was the Vice President & Head of Design and Construction.

Throughout her profession Claudine has been dedicated to the education and mentoring of young designers. To this end she has served as an Adjunct Professor at Florida International University and Miami-Dade Community College.

Claudine studied Interior Design at the University of Florida and graduated from the College of Architecture with High Honors and Presidential Recognition.
