Mikko Viljakainen

Mikko Viljakainen is a Senior Pattern Maker at On since February 2022, leading apparel pattern, sizing, and fit initiatives in collaboration with Design and Development teams. Previously held various roles at adidas from April 2016 to January 2022, including Pattern Manager for Athlete Service, where responsibilities included driving pattern selection and product creation for athletes, and managing global projects as Pattern Manager and Pattern Maker. Mikko's earlier experience includes a pattern-making position at Ursuk Oy and product development at terrathree GmbH, alongside technical roles at Stockmann and Outerwear Design H:ki. Mikko holds an Engineer's degree in Textile Sciences and Engineering from Lahti University of Applied Sciences and has also studied Textile Science at the University of Borås.
