Michael van Den Berg

Michael van den Berg is an experienced investment professional with a focus on sustainable agriculture and financial inclusion. Currently serving as the ACT Fund Lead and Investment Manager at the Common Fund for Commodities, Michael oversees the launch and establishment of the ACT Fund, collaborating with various stakeholders to positively impact smallholder farmers globally. Additionally, Michael holds significant roles such as a member of the Investment Committee for the Financial Inclusion Resilience Fund at Triple Jump, Non-Executive Director at the KfW Social Enterprise Fund for Agriculture in Africa, and Senior Investment Advisor for the One Acre Fund, among others. Michael has a robust educational background, including postgraduate certificates in Development Economics from SOAS University of London and an MBA from Nyenrode Business University, complemented by earlier studies in International Relations and Environmental Economics.
