Shabaz Patel

Shabaz Patel began their career as a Research Assistant at Stanford University in 2015. Shabaz then moved to Cisco, where they worked as an Engineer. In 2016, Shabaz Co-Founded and became CTO of Datmo, an innovative machine learning platform. During their time at Datmo, they spearheaded the development of the platform, built and deployed a model artifact registry, and created a machine learning algorithm. In 2019, they were acquired by One Concern and took on the role of Director of Data Science. In this role, they led the development and delivery of 3 product lines, hired and trained a data-centric team, and developed role-level expectations for the Data Science team. Shabaz then became Vice President of Data Science, where they led the team responsible for building models for the One Concern product. In 2022, they moved to On Deck as a Fellow.

Shabaz Patel holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a degree in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.
