In his role, Andrea will help to analyze different markets and provide tailored solutions for clients in different spaces. He will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark and report to Sales Manager Bruno Leite.
Andrea has varied and interesting experience, most recently as Commercial Product Manager Assistant for hardware/software solution company 3Shape. There, he helped to develop go-to-market strategies and sales enablement for highly innovative products. He has also been a store assistant manager in Rome, and was a stagehand at Sydeny Opera House while backpacking around Australia for two years.
Being raised and brought up in Italy by a mother who is a biologist and a father who is a orchestra conductor, Andrea spent a lot of his childhood years exploring both the creative and scientific environments. He satisfied his creative instincts by learning to play the drums and his more scientific instincts came to life during his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and later again with his Master’s degree of Social Sciences from the Copenhagen Business School, majoring in management of creative businesses.
Andrea is very drawn towards innovative environments and companies and when asked why he said: “I’m really curious as a person, and it's mind blowing, all the new startups coming in, and the innovation that comes from different places and converge into smarter ways of doing things. It's also super rewarding to learn new things every day, and try to envision how markets will be impacted from it. Our technology at Onomondo is a key enabler of such transformations, and we have the vision to shift some dogmatic paradigms of the telecommunication industry.”
What inspired Andrea to pursue a career in the Nordics and Copenhagen in particular was the flexibility and flat hierarchy that most Danish startups are known for. “Here no one tells you what to do and when to do it, you are the full owner of your area. This empowers and motivates me greatly. Especially here at Onomondo, I found the right balance between ambition and humbleness that I really love”.
Outside of work Andrea is a cyclist and enjoys taking his bike on trains without a destination, and exploring green spaces he encounters along the way. Also he is a passionate pizza maker - “I am a living stereotype” as he said with a smile and continued “making pizza in Italy is considered a fine art, it is a skill you can never fully master as there is always more to learn”.
