Onomondo has announced the appointment of Jonas Høgh Kjær as Business Development Representative, Onomondo

Telecommunications IoT provider Onomondo has announced the appointment of Jonas Høgh Kjær as Business Development Representative. In his role, Jonas will focus on bringing new business to Onomondo by reaching out to potential customers. He will help to analyze different markets and provide tailored solutions for clients in different spaces. He will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark and report to Sales Manager Bruno Leite.

After finalizing his Master’s Degree in International Business Communication from Copenhagen Business School back in the summer of 2020 Jonas was looking for a place to unfold his talent but with a company where he was sure to be able to focus on building strong relationships with customers and colleagues. Unaware at the time that his experience from working several years in the luxury hotel- and high-end consumer electronics industry would come in handy in his new role as Business Development Representative with Onomondo.

It is Jonas’ ability to talk and engage with a lot of different people that he is most excited to unfold saying “the hotel industry taught me to talk with and understand the needs of very diverse groups of people. I have met people from all over the world and worked with and for some of the most prestigious brands which gives me a strong advantage when it comes to understanding needs and cultures and tailoring our solution to specific customers”.

Jonas’ decision to join Onomondo was easy. Comparing Onomondo to his previous work places he says: “a tech start-up journey is something completely different from my previous experience and I am on a very steep learning curve – and I absolutely love it” and continues “I get to work with some highly competent, talented and inspiring people. This is not new to me but at Onomondo there is a focus on setting each other up for success deep in the DNA - the perfect place for me to kick-off my career”.

Onomondo Names Antti Korhonen has its New Senior Account Executive

Telecommunications IoT provider Onomondo has named Antti Korhonen as a senior account executive. Based in Copenhagen, Antti will focus on business development, sales and partnerships, reporting to Sales Manager Bruno Leite. Antti has more than eight years of marketing and customer success experience with Siteimprove and Visma, and has a Master of Arts from the University of Oulu in his native Finland. His Arts degree is wide-ranging, illustrating his interests in history, international business, economics, political science and East Asian studies. Having worked and studied in a range of fields, he says when he first started working in sales three years ago, he knew it was for him. “My boss at the time taught me that it's actually being there and helping the customer, and allowing them to actually come to you. It’s more about customer success than actually selling them stuff,” Antti said. “It's very good to just listen and be there for the customers and see how you can help them get more value.” Antti jokingly refers to himself as a climate refugee, moving to Germany and then Denmark from northern Finland to escape the bitter cold and the roughly eight months of snow he experienced every year growing up. He now lives with his wife and two children, who he is raising to speak both Finnish and Danish. He is a prolific reader, particularly sales books, and calls himself a traditionalist for his preference for books over Kindles.

Onomondo Welcomes Laura Verleyen to the Team

IoT provider Onomondo has welcomed Laura Verleyen to its team as Senior Business Development Representative. In her new role, Laura will be the first contact with potential partners, helping to provide innovative and productive solutions that satisfy customer needs. She will be based in Copenhagen and report to Sales Manager Bruno Leite. Laura most recently served as a sales consultant for LetsBuild, calling, engaging and onboarding new clients. Prior to that, she held a range of roles with Belgian travel company Connections; working as a sales advisor, travel agent and shop manager from 2014 to 2019. She moved to Copenhagen with her partner, an engineer, at the start of 2020. Laura has a Master’s degree in multilingual business communication from the University of Antwerp. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in tourism management (distinction) from the Erasmus School in Brussels. An accomplished linguist, she can speak Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish. She is extremely social and likes to go skiing in her spare time, particularly in Austria. “Already I'm amazed at how intelligent my Omonodo colleagues are, and how everybody's working towards the same goal,” Laura said. “It's amazing to see because, especially in sales, there's sometimes a lot of rivalry. And I haven't noticed even a pinch of anything there, which is really exciting.”
