Thorvald Larsen has joined the Sales Closing Team at Onomondo

Thorvald Larsen has joined the Sales Closing Team at Onomondo, Onomondo

In his new role he will report to Sales Manager Bruno Leite and work from the company’s headquarter in Central Copenhagen.

As the Senior Account Executive on the newly established Commercial Team Thorvald will be responsible for building and scaling the commercial processes while engaging with and understanding the needs of the customers in order to feed these insights back into product development.

After recently having spent four years as Key Account Manager and Team Lead with APSIS, a marketing platform, it was time for a change and new challenges. It was important for Thorvald to find a company in an exciting industry and preferably a company looking to scale. He found this in Onomondo and is excited to be joining the team at this stage where he gets to be a part of building the commercial department completely from scratch. When asked about the projects ahead he said: “Will it be chaotic? Yes! But will it be exciting? Absolutely!”.

One of the things that got him really excited about joining the Onomondo team was the strong internal culture and management’s focus on personality fit rather than skill fit. “It’s important that you enjoy spending time with the people you work with and I really felt that the management team took the time to prioritize finding the right people with the right cultural and personal fit. Culture first, culture last” Thorvald said.

Outside of work Thorvald appreciates a good book - specifically those written by author Terry Pratchett. The book shelf currently holds around 20-25 copies of Pratchett’s books and new ones are added every year for his birthday and Christmas.

Meet Customer Success Manager at Onomondo : Kasia Hougaard

Telecommunications IoT provider Onomondo has welcomed new Customer Success Manager, Kasia Hougaard, to its team. Kasia brings unique and diverse experience from a variety of fields, though central to them all are her commitment to people, and willingness to use her skills to help others. “I consider myself a Swiss Army Knife-kind of person, where if there’s a gap or a need then I'm the first one who's going to try and fill it,” she says. “I love to get to know what's behind a group or organization. I don't look at clients as just a number, I want to really understand how I can support them. That means using their feedback to see what I can do to make their life better, and also learning from them to make my work or my team's work more efficient.” Kasia trained and worked as a lawyer in her home country, Poland, where she supported businesses as an advisor. She also has a BA in sociology, and worked for five years as a university lecturer as a PhD student in business law. Kasia moved permanently to Denmark almost a decade ago following her heart. She spent more than five years with retail company Karen Millen, rising to the position of Regional Administrator for Germany and Scandinavia, and most recently served as Business Operations Manager for coffee company Scanomat. An avid music fan, she has a background in dance that she is keen to revive, as currently it only involves dancing around the living room with her two daughters. Kasia is also a fan of all different types of music, from modern to classical, and graduated music school in Poland. She has recently got back into playing the piano after many years. She loves to cook, usually adding her own touches to recipes, and describes herself as a yoga junkie, and the “crazy one” who likes watching and reading everything – from a classical novels to a reality shows.

Onomondo Names Antti Korhonen has its New Senior Account Executive

Onomondo Names Antti Korhonen has its New Senior Account Executive

Telecommunications IoT provider Onomondo has named Antti Korhonen as a senior account executive. Based in Copenhagen, Antti will focus on business development, sales and partnerships, reporting to Sales Manager Bruno Leite. Antti has more than eight years of marketing and customer success experience with Siteimprove and Visma, and has a Master of Arts from the University of Oulu in his native Finland. His Arts degree is wide-ranging, illustrating his interests in history, international business, economics, political science and East Asian studies. Having worked and studied in a range of fields, he says when he first started working in sales three years ago, he knew it was for him. “My boss at the time taught me that it's actually being there and helping the customer, and allowing them to actually come to you. It’s more about customer success than actually selling them stuff,” Antti said. “It's very good to just listen and be there for the customers and see how you can help them get more value.” Antti jokingly refers to himself as a climate refugee, moving to Germany and then Denmark from northern Finland to escape the bitter cold and the roughly eight months of snow he experienced every year growing up. He now lives with his wife and two children, who he is raising to speak both Finnish and Danish. He is a prolific reader, particularly sales books, and calls himself a traditionalist for his preference for books over Kindles.
