Ryan Belev

Ryan Belev is a Full Stack Developer with over five years of experience. Ryan currently works as an Engineering at OpenPhone, but they have also worked with UrbanStems in the past. At UrbanStems, they were responsible for helping evolve their e-commerce platform through designing and coding new features, mentoring junior developers, and troubleshooting and recovering from bugs.

In recent years, Ryan has reworked their Node API to support a new storefront in Salesforce Commerce Cloud and is now building out a new order management system in TypeScript with the operational knowledge gained from six years of startup chaos. Some of their notable accomplishments include designing or approving all database schema changes and migrations, designing and coding their inventory system, and continually expanding their React admin portal with new tools to support other departments. Ryan has also enabled farm-direct and dropshipping partners to sell nationwide by formalizing preparation vs. delivery dates and dynamically calculating the intersection of possible fulfillment options as the customer progresses through checkout. Most recently, they refactored the delivery schedule system, significantly reducing code size and complexity by leveraging unique table constraints to do unions in SQL, not JavaScript.
