OpenSponsorship is the largest digital marketplace making it easy for brands to partner with athletes. We have 11,000+ athletes across 160 sports (including over 50% of the NFL and NBA) and support clients like Walmart, Levis, FanDuel, and ESPN. We recently closed a $4M growth round, and are backed by NBA team owners, athletes, notable VCs, and world-class accelerators.

We are seeking an experienced Partnerships Manager to grow our presence in the sports & marketing industries in the UK and Europe. The successful Partnership Manager will be a natural relationship builder who is able to demonstrate strong leadership. It is essential that you have experience in landing commercial deals, and are able to nurture multiple relationships with different stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of OpenSponsorship to our sports, marketing, and brand partners.
  • Create new partnerships and negotiate terms to drive revenue growth,
  • Manage new and existing partner relationships, including media rights companies, as well as sports leagues, teams, and talent agencies.
  • Grow, maintain, and leverage your network. Attend conferences, trade shows, and industry events to build relationships, close deals and maintain expertise in our industry.
  • Monitor partnerships to assess the sales impact of offered solution(s) in our marketplace and the overall success of the relationship.
  • Monitor competitor activity in accounts and implement strategies to maintain account ownership.

Experience & Skills:

  • Partnership background with detailed knowledge of sponsorships, preferably in sports or similar industry.
  • 4+ years of partnership management experience.
  • A hardworking deal-maker who has brought a number of impactful strategic deals to life from conception to execution.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated, self-directed, and confident individual contributor who can thrive in a dynamic environment. You maintain composure in high pressure and ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to develop, review and negotiate complex contracts
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation, and project management skills.
  • Structured and analytical thinker with the ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete plans
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a start-up type environment where infrastructure, processes, systems and work practices are still at various stages of implementation and refinement.
