Mariel Ocampo

Mariel Ocampo, MEM, ASEAN Eng, IRChE, currently serves as a Senior Field Operator at OQ8 since April 2022, following a notable tenure at Petron Corporation from January 2013 to April 2022, where roles included Shift Operations Supervisor and Operations Engineer, managing various refinery units such as Hydrogen Production and Hydrotreater Units. Key responsibilities at Petron included overseeing refining activities, optimizing process operations, and collaborating with engineering personnel to resolve operational challenges. Mariel also held several leadership positions within the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers Inc. and gained early experience at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Philex Mining Corporation as an on-the-job trainee.
