Maura Ruzhnikov

Maura Ruzhnikov is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as the Medical Director for Global Clinical Development at Orchard Therapeutics since September 2025. Prior roles include Lead Physician at the FDA, where Maura led a multidisciplinary team in the Division of Rare Diseases and Medical Genetics, and Associate Medical Staff at Kennedy Krieger Institute, focusing on neurogenetics and leukodystrophies. As a co-founder of The Little Zebra Fund, Maura has helped provide funding for clinical genetic testing. Previous academic contributions include establishing the pediatric neurogenomics clinic at Stanford University School of Medicine and conducting clinical research during fellowships at UCSF Medical Center and Stanford. Maura holds an MD from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and a BS from UC Santa Barbara.
