Shawn Izadi

Shawn Izadi, MD MPH, currently serves as a medical consultant for the television show "Grey's Anatomy" while also working as a resident physician in general surgery at Oregon Health & Science University since June 2020. In addition to clinical responsibilities, Shawn co-founded the OHSU Surgery social media task force and holds leadership roles in various resident committees. A clinical research fellow in pediatric surgery at Boston Children's Hospital, Shawn's previous experience includes a graduate assistant football coach position at the University of North Texas and an associate scientist role at Abbott. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin.
