Eduardo Herrera Reyes M.D.

Eduardo Herrera Reyes MD currently serves as a Senior Programme Officer in the Assistance and Protection Branch at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) since January 2022. Additionally, Eduardo is a Board Member of the International Association of Radiopathology and a member of the EANM Radiation Protection Committee. Previous roles include Médecin Expert en Urgence Radiologie et Nucléaire at IRSN and Medical Emergency Preparedness Specialist at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), where comprehensive medical readiness activities were conducted for global healthcare professionals. Eduardo has also contributed to nuclear emergency planning as the Head of the Radiomedicine Section at the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission and has worked in various medical roles, including medical doctor at Vidaintegra S.A. and emergency service support. Academic credentials include specialization in Nuclear Medicine and a medical degree from Universidad de Chile and Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
