Robert Watkins

Robert Watkins is an experienced software developer and architect with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior Developer in the Technology (IES) team at Orica since July 2021, Robert leads the development of the Integrated Extraction Simulator (IES) following its commercialisation from CRC ORE Ltd, where Robert held the position of Chief Architect from September 2012 to June 2021. Previous roles include software development contracts at Milestone IT and various positions at Wotif Group, progressing from Senior Developer to Principal Developer over seven years, as well as significant contributions at Suncorp-Metway and Dialect Solutions. Robert initiated a career in software engineering at Mincom and began in the tech field with roles at Crosslink Pty Ltd and the Northern Territory Department of Education. Robert holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Charles Darwin University.
