Nabeetha Nagalingam

Nabeetha Nagalingam, Ph.D, currently serves as Principal Translational Scientist at Owlstone Medical, a position held since October 2021, following roles as Lead Translational Scientist. Previously, Nabeetha worked at Summit Therapeutics as Investigator and Senior Scientist and held the title of Senior Scientist at Johnson & Johnson. Nabeetha's expertise includes setting up and optimizing qPCR and next-generation sequencing assays to explore microbial communities in disease cohorts, as well as developing scientific proposals. Experience also includes postdoctoral fellowships at the University of California, San Francisco, focusing on animal projects, microbial gene profiling, and microbiome analyses, and at the University of Michigan, conducting research on the microbiome in inflammatory bowel disease. Nabeetha holds a PG Cert (distinction) in Practical Science Communication from the University of Cambridge, a Postdoctoral Fellowship in microbiome research from the University of California, and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Michigan State University.
